Israel’s economic strength and future existence depends on its ability to train increasing numbers of youth and adults in science and technology disciplines.

The Center for Excellence works to bridge social gaps and enable equal opportunity to all sectors of the population, young and old, by promoting social and economic integration through enrichment studies and activities in scientific and technological fields.

The project fosters an increase in the exposure and impact of science and technology in daily life, its contribution to the economy and the cultivation of Israeli human capital and offers continued studies and employment in the particular fields.

The Center for Excellence acts as a one-stop address, providing a spectrum of study opportunities, including astronomy, robotics, logic, problem solving, English in science, veterinary science, medicine, digital photography, video editing and more.

One aspect of the center focuses on educating adults about advanced technological developments that create, in their wake, a major generational gap, causing parental dependency on their children in terms of understanding and using cutting-edge technologies. The Center for Excellence offers a solution through the implementation of joint courses for grandparents, parents and children. This unique encounter between youth and elders contributes to diminishing the generational gap.

Centers also provide hands-on experience for women who lack appropriate technological knowledge that can enhance their daily lives.
